Pharmacology
Pharmacology deals with drugs and their actions in human body. It is an integral part of undergraduate medical curriculum. Knowledge about medicines enables future doctors to prescribe rationally. Our department aims to train undergraduate students of different streams in various aspects of drug use and adverse drug reaction monitoring.
Our department is having a dedicated team of well qualified faculty members. We regularly update the recent trends in Pharmacology by attending various Conferences and CMEs and impart the knowledge to the students.
We enlighten the students with basic & advanced concepts in pharmacology so that they can prescribe rationally and treat the patients ethically.

Pharmacovigilance
The department of Pharmacology is a recognized ADR Monitoring Centre (AMC) under PvPI actively reporting adverse effects which are collected and uploaded in Vigiflow to the national coordinating centre. Professor and Head of Pharmacology is the Coordinator and Institutional Pharmacovigilance Committee constituted under the leadership of Dean meets once in every quarter Annually. Every year from 17th to 24th September National Pharmacovigilance Week is celebrated. Regular orientation and awareness programs are conducted for Doctors, postgraduate, Interns, Nurse and Students.
