The Anaesthesia armamentarium at Government Thoothukudi Medical College Hospital provide 24/7 emergency anaesthesia services and also elective operations and cater to the needs of the residents of Thoothukudi as well as neighbouring districts. The department is well equipped with latest high end equipments facilitating advanced anaesthesia care. Apart from anaesthesia services, we provide emergency life saving services like Endotracheal intubation, central venous catheterization, hemodialysis catheterization, advanced cardiac life saving services in TAEI WARD, Intensive Medical Care Unit, Intensive Cardiac Care Unit, Cardiac CATH lab, CEMONC ,Pediatric ICU and Burns ward.
Pain clinic:
We are conducting pain clinic services for cancer patients and chronically ill patients, pain clinic op services and c- arm/ultrasound guided plexus/nerve blocks to alleviate pain for the cancer patients.
