PROFILE OF TKMCH
The Department of ENT, Govt. Thoothukudi Medical College & Hospital comprises of one unit under the leadership of PROF .C. RAVI KUMAR M.S(ENT).
We have an OP room with separate cabins for male & female patients in the ground floor. There is a clinical demonstration room, Audiometry room, speech therapy room, dressing room andendoscopy room.
The wards are located in 1st floor in the old building.
We have a fully functional theatre complex in 3rd floor with twin theatres preparation and observation rooms.
The ENT theatre is fully equipped with Endoscopy with monitor facility and three Boyle’s apparatus.
PROCEDURES:
All advanced ENT procedures including FESS, Septoplasty, Orbital decompression, Repair of CSF leak are done. We also do routine surgeries like Tonsillectomy, Adenoidectomy, Grommet tube insertion, Mastoidectomy with Tympanoplasty, Video Laryngoscopy and micro laryngeal surgeries.
We have done 18 Cochlear Implant surgery .
